Helen Spangler
I have been an English teacher in Davis for 16 years at Emerson and DHS and recently moved into school leadership as an Administrative Teacher on Special Assignment. I have loved every minute of supporting Elementary teachers, students and families. My passion for teaching and supporting young people’s educational journey started when I was 14 years old and I had the opportunity to coach Diving. Shifting from athlete to coach was transformational as I knew at a young age that my calling was mentoring others. Since then, I have directed and music directed theatrical productions, coached Diving and Basketball and taught in the classroom for 20 years. A little known fact about me is that I had a recipe published in Better Homes and Gardens. As my journey continues I welcome opportunities to grow and meet challenges with positivity.
