Hello, my name is Jessica Beckinger. I teach kindergarten and first grade Montessori. I have been a Montessori teacher since 2005, and I love it! At the beginning of my career, I taught preschool in Davis for three years then moved on to the California Montessori Project, Elk Grove Campus, and taught K/1 for another three years. I came to Birch Lane in 2011, and I've been here ever since!
I earned my BA from UC Davis and my state of CA teaching credential from Sacramento State. I then went on to earn two Montessori teaching credentials and a MA in Education with a specialization in Autism Studies while working.
I live with my two daughters, Alana and Sienna, in West Sacramento. In my free time, I enjoy travel, cooking, yoga, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
