Laura Shapiro
I have taught 4-6 grade science at Birch Lane since 2013.
I received a degree in Biology from CSU, Chico. After college, I spent several years working in chemistry and biotech labs before joining the Peace Corps and moving to Botswana where I taught junior high school science for 2 years and realized that I loved teaching.
I returned to the United States and received my teaching credential from The University of Colorado, Boulder.
I’ve lived in Davis since 2006 with my husband and 2 daughters, Hailey and Isabelle. In my spare time, I like to travel, read, hike and work in my garden.
